About Thinking It Over
Post 823:
Advice on how to be productive can just be the worst. Anyway, here’s some more.
Seriously, if you’re in a place where your story is humming along and the characters are so huge and subtly awesome that it makes you think you’re actually not insane, just keep doing what you’re doing.
If not, here’s a few thoughts.
The theme of today’s message is DON’T THINK ABOUT IT. If you’re coming up with something new, now might be a hard time. It’s been a strange and crap time out there in the real world and it’s already strange enough to begin with.
There’s plenty of time for you to look at all the things, but try getting some fresh work done and dusted before immersing yourself in the events and challenges of the day.
If you can. Sometimes life won’t let you.
The reason for this suggestion is a tad hard to elucidate, but let’s see here…
Thinking about the world will inevitably leak into thinking about yourself, and yourself is already solid enough to come up with a few paragraphs or a lyric or new video idea.
Think about it. (Sorry) You’ve done enough. You’ve seen enough. There’s always going to be more to know, but right now all the tools are at your disposal the second you get out of bed or, if you’re like me, the moment you moan your way up from a narcoleptic-adjacent “nap.”
Try it if you’re stuck. Ignore if it you’re not. You know. Cause that’s how this shiz works. Cheers and see you after.
